December, 2012
December did not bring cold weather with it as it is suppose to but it did bring a couple of fun events.

The first of December our school sponsored a triatholon. You could do all of it or part of it. David biked and Samantha and Davis ran. They all did great and won first place in their divisions. I volunteered at a bike stop point so I wasn't able to get pictures of the kids this year.
Also in the beginningn of January our kid's school went to a local Thai school for a Christmas celebration. Basically our school brought the celebration with them. Part of the event was they shared the gospel with the kids and teachers. That is what is happening in this picture.
They also sang, played games and gave the kids some school supplies. David really enjoyed these kids and as you can see they enjoyed him also.
December also brought with it the King's birthday so in Thailand that is when they celebrate Father's Day. Since we eat at home pretty much everyday and it is Thai food, then we like to go out for special events. There is a really nice restaurant that is owned by a European that we like so we took David there. This is a swing that was right near our table outside. It is beautiful there.
And Samantha managed to get her picture with a really cool car at the restaurant. Not sure why I didn't get a picture of David since we were celebrating him. Ooops!
To get in the Christmas mood, since it was still very hot in Thailand, we decided to go to the mall and take pictures with some of the Christmas decorations. Well, at least they are Christmas decorations by Thai standards.
Now that's a big lollipop!
Gotta have the huge tree too!
And we managed to get a New Year's picture also! They get really excited about New Year's here in Thailand. As a matter of fact they celebrate the American New Year, the Thai New Year and the Chinese New Year. Anything for a celebration!
