International Day February, 2012

One thing we love about the school our kids go to here in Thailand is that there are people from all over the world that attend this school. So not only do our kids get to know about Thailand and the culture here but they get to learn about many other countries as well. It really opens their eyes to just how big this world really is. Here are some pictures from International Day at their school this year.

Here is our cowboy representing well the United States, specifically the state of Texas

Samantha did a great job, along with her classmates, in leading everyone in a time of prayer for many different countries. They had stations set up around the place where you would pray at one station a couple of minutes and then move to another one.
The kids were divided into groups so they could pray for several countries during this time.

Then we had a time where people from different countries would get up and tell us about their country and then possibly perform something of their country. These were from Holland.

Davis and Samantha joined with a Texas group and did a Texan line dance. It was great!

At the kid's school there are about 90 students (k-12) so they become like a family. As you can see here, this little Thai boy (1st grade) loves to always sit with Davis.

This is Samantha and her good friend Rosie. We love that our kids are making friends from all over the world. Rosie is from South Africa but her Dad is Thai. She moved here a couple of years ago.

After the program we tried snacks from all over the world and then the Thai staff taught the kids some Thai games. It was a great day!

David did not perform but he did dress to represent the farmers of America!
